ABOUT THE BILL!
This bill is the result of the HOA Task
Force, created by Governor Bush. There
are many good provisions included, but
without a government agency with
enforcement power it is detrimental for
the homeowners. The DBPR, partially
responsible for certain procedures if this
bill is enacted, already created a chaos for
condo-owners. That's why they want an
Ombudsman's Office -- See HB 1223
Throw out the ADR provisions and add
an Ombudsman's Office as being created
by HB 1223/SB 2498 -- and you have
a good consumer-friendly bill!
