A property manager in Sunny Isles Beach was arrested and booked into jail on Monday after police say she stole hundreds of thousands of dollars and gambled it all away.

It’s the second time the property manager, Georgina Pineda, has been charged in connection with her role of managing a Sunny Isles Beach condo building.

Pineda is out on bond on a felony charge of grand theft, according to public records. She was accused of stealing $150,000 to $400,000 while she was the property manager of the King David Condominium at 17555 Atlantic Boulevard, the Miami Herald reported.

In November, she was arrested for allegedly stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars using a condo association’s debit card and transferring money into a personal account. That occured when she was managing the Eden Roc Condos, at 17900 North Bay Road, police said. She allegedly spent the money at the Miccosukee casino.

Pineda’s lawyer told the Herald that “she is actually a very nice woman, and the root of the problem lies in gambling at slot machines.”
