THE STATUS OF GALT OCEAN
MILE LITIGATION
This month I will be presenting
a summary of the number of litigations
in relations to condominiums on
Galt Ocean Mile. I reviewed the Court
dockets and files and present to you a
summary of the number of litigations,
current and past, in relation to your
condominiums.
Next month, I will expand on the
current litigations. Please note that
these are the cases pursuant to the Broward
Clerk of Court records and do not
include Administrative Complaints and
Federal lawsuits.
THE CARIBE’
There have only been two lawsuits for this
condominium. One closed and one currently
pending.
THE COMMODORE
There
have been forty-one lawsuits for this
condominium. Forty closed and three
currently pending.
CORAL RIDGE
TOWERS
There
have been eight lawsuits for this
condominium. Seven closed and one currently
pending.

There
have been three lawsuits for this
condominium. Two closed and one currently
pending.

have been no lawsuits for this condominium.
GALT OCEAN
CLUB
There
have been sixty-three lawsuits for this
condominium. Fifty-Nine closed and four
currently pending.
GALT TOWERS
There
have been twenty-one lawsuits for this
condominium. Nineteen closed and two
currently pending.
L’AMBIANCE
There
has only been one lawsuit for this
condominium. It is currently closed.
L’HERMITAGE
I
There
have only been two lawsuits for this
condominium. Both are currently closed.

have been four lawsuits for this
condominium. All Four are currently closed.
OCEAN CLUB
There
have only been two lawsuits for this
condominium. Both are currently closed.
OCEAN MANOR
There
have been nineteen lawsuits for this
condominium. Seventeen closed and two
currently pending.
OCEAN SUMMIT
There
have been twelve lawsuits for this
condominium. Eleven closed and one currently
pending.
PLAYA DEL MAR
There
have been fifty-two lawsuits for this
condominium. Forty-Nine closed and three
currently pending.
PLAYA DEL SOL
There
have been forty-two lawsuits for this
condominium. Thirty-Eight closed and four
currently pending.
PLAZA EAST
There
have been thirty-three lawsuits for this
condominium. Thirty-One closed and two
currently open.
PLAZA SOUTH
There
have been twenty-four lawsuits for this
condominium. Sixteen closed and eight
currently pending.
REGENCY SOUTH
There are no
lawsuits for this condominium.
REGENCY TOWER
There
have only been three lawsuits for this
condominium. All are currently closed.
RIVIERA
There are no
lawsuits for this condominium.
ROYAL
AMBASSADOR
There are no
lawsuits for this condominium.
SOUTHPOINT
There
have been twenty-five lawsuits for this
condominium. Twenty- Three closed and two
currently open. The current case is in relation to windows. There
are also numerous window issues mediating
this month. I will report next month as to
the results.
THE GALT MILE
COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION,
INC.
There
has only been one lawsuit for this
Association in 1988.
ISSUES
LITIGATED
The main
issues litigated are foreclosure, negligence,
breach of fiduciary duty, housing code
violations, failure to repair windows or
common areas, and claim of liens for unpaid
work.

Believe
it or not, we have a mayor and a city commissioner who, long ago,
should’ve taken an interest in the considerable problems of the
Galt Community.
The
Commissioner for the Galt Ocean Mile is Christine Teel who’s
busy telling people she’s running for mayor in March, 2009.
Tell
your Mayor, Jim Naugle and your City Commissioner, Christine Teel
what’s going on in your building and ask for their help. They’ll
want our votes in the next election and should be helping us now.
