Miami police say the general manager of the Brickell Key
One Condominiums spent 14 years collecting money for parking spots he was not
authorized to sell.
Keith Austin Reynolds sold or rented additional parking
spaces to condo residents who needed an extra spot from 1988 until his
retirement in 2002, and pocketed the money, police said Wednesday.
Reynolds had the residents make their checks payable to
O.T.S.K. Management, Inc., which police say stood for ``Only the Shadow Knows.''
Police arrested Reynolds, 81, and charged him with one
count of organized fraud, 19 counts of grand theft and two counts of uttering a
forged instrument -- all felonies.
Reynolds could face up to 15 years for each charge, police
said.
''He's most likely going to be spending his golden years
behind bars,'' said Lt. William Schwartz, a Miami police spokesman.
The going rate for the parking spots was $5,000 to $7,000
for buyers, and $65 to $390 per month for renters.
