BATTLE AT TWIN RIVERS
"On The Commons" with Professor Frank Askin
February 12, 2006

"On The Commons" is Professor Frank Askin.  Professor Askin is a law professor at Rutgers University in New Jersey.  He established the Constitutional Litigation Clinic, and under his guidance, the clinic has successfully litigated several Constitutional cases in New Jersey.  He is also a member of the American Civil Liberties Union.

The wait is finally over, the New Jersey appellate court rendered it's decision in the landmark Twin Rivers case, answering the hotly debated question of whether homeowners in mandatory membership associations are entitled to constitutional protections, or whether, as proponents of associations claim, their rights are left at the entrance of more than 250,000 developments nationwide.  We'll talk about the issues raised in this case, the courts' opinions and what they mean for all of us.
