CYBER CITIZENS FOR JUSTICE, INC.
Do you and your neighbors have concerns about the way your Homeowners’ Association or Condominium Association conducts business? What are your “rights as a homeownerâ€? (You might be surprised to see how few rights you really have as a homeowner.) CYBER CITIZENS FOR JUSTICE, INC. might have some answers and some solutions!Founded to unite Floridians in a quest to improve the daily lives of citizens, Cyber Citizens For Justice, Inc. seeks to promote citizens’ interests through Advocacy, Education and Legislative Reform. (However, please note that CCFJ cannot dispense legal advice. If you cannot resolve your disputes within your own community, you will need to hire professional legal counsel.) Governor Jeb Bush had created an HOA Task Force in 2004 to address the concerns of the 5 to 7 million Floridians who reside in mandatory deed-restricted communities. The members of the Task Force met with many concerned citizens and legislators to reform existing Florida Statutes 718 and 720 that govern Condominium Associations and Homeowners’ Associations. The House Select Committee On Condominium Association Governance under the chairmanship of Representative Julio Robaina met to discuss solutions to the many problems that occur in condos. Many of the problems discussed in 2004 are still unresolved! All over Florida, homeowners and condo owners continue to suffer from abuses. LACK OF ENFORCEMENT of existing laws is the chief problem. Although, the Florida Statutes specify certain rules, enforcement is lacking! Cyber Citizens For Justice, Inc. would like to change that! |
