According to a redacted police report which we are publishing through a link at the end of this report, Joseph Vito — of the 21800 block of High Pine Trail in Boca Raton — ordered a Haitian-speaking employee to massage him, and attempted to have intimate physical contact with the woman, in an unoccupied condominium in the Boca Lakes complex.

Vito, according to accusations made in the report, attempted multiple times and was videotaped naked.

“She told me sometime during the second week of May 2023, when she got her immigration work permit, she went to the office to show it to him. She said he started touching her breast and she said no. She said he refused to take the work permit from her.

She said she was getting paid in cash, and he would just throw the envelope at her. She said he told her as she was refusing his proposals, he was reducing her hours from eight to five, which he did.

(The victim) stated that kept the same behavior going: getting naked, trying to have sex with her. She said it happened so many times that she could not give me an estimation. She said during her last week (the suspect) took off his pants and told her to clean his p–is.

She said as she was about to pull her phone out to take his picture, he threatened her by making “throat-cutting” gestures. She said she realized that her life was more important than the money she was making there, so she stopped going to that job.”

Also from the report: Vito allegedly told the victim that he would fire her if she did not comply. The victim told Vito to get a massage from his wife and not from her. He also allegedly offered her $25 for an intimate physical encounter.

Vito, 67, was arrested on Thursday and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail at 2:17 p.m. He was released on his own recognizance several hours later.
