The legislation —
SENATE BILL
652 — was initially filed by state Sen. Mack Bernard
(D-West Palm Beach) on Friday.
SB 652 aims to revise the obligations of mobile home park
owners under state law, adding in the following provisions
for owners to follow:

Require mobile home owners to keep a
registration sticker on their homes at all times

Maintain up-to-date records about
each homeowner in the park

Provide those records to local code
enforcement upon request to help enforce a homeowner’s
general obligations under state law

Require each homeowner to maintain
his/her mobile home and its lot in accordance with all
applicable codes

Require other people on these
premises, with the homeowner’s consent, to comply with
these codes
