SUMMARY HB 595: Homeowners' Associations Database (Rep. Porras, Rep. Lopez)

Homeowners' Associations Database; Requires DBPR to establish searchable database by specified date which contains specified information regarding each homeowners' association in state; requires homeowners' association to notify department of any changes to information listed in database.

We need to support these bills. A database on homeowners associations maintained by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation is in accordance with the Sunshine law and will provide statistical as well as other necessary information on communities.
