Tonight Florida's homeowners association laws are again in the spotlight.

The government has appointed a special council to hear residents' complaints about their home owner associations.

And, as Channel 8 has reported, homeowners have lots of community concerns. Many Floridians are living communities governed by homeowners associations -- but not everyone is satisfied with the way the system works.

Lots of folks showed up at the Marriott at Tampa International to voice their concerns to a government appointed council studying association living.

There is no enforcement agency in Florida homeowners can go to if they have a dispute with their association -- the only recourse is the court system or these meetings for homeowners, where they can briefly voice their problems -- and hope that the council recommends some changes in the law.
